Jizo

Jizo is a Bodhisattva, who protects children and travelers. Inspired by the Jizo my friend Patricia made for our friend, I decided to try out my own. I found a relatively simple design, and made some out of stoneware clay.  These two have been bisque fired, painted with acrylic paints, and have a matte medium on them.

The 3rd one is made of paperclay.  It's an air dried clay.  I found that I don't like it very much, since it breaks easily. Here's a link in case you want to make your own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQG47stErqo
